Constantly Hungry : /

This may sound strange but it feels like I am constantly hungry right now. Like I always want something to eat. I grab myself a good snack or fruit or something but I am still feeling this way. I know I am managing to stay a little over 1200 everyday but I am still hungry!
is it because I have a faster metabolism? or is it just because I am eating a lot less?

Can you open up your diary? You may not be getting enough protein and/or fiber. It would be easier to say if I could see your daily diary.0

i think your body just needs some time to adjust to the change are you getting enough water? i space my meals out and have 2 or 3 snacks a day, trying to stay within my limits. i drink a lot of water and plain white, green and black teas. i also add ice and frozen fruit (lemons/limes) to my water so i want to drink it! hope this helps.
also, there is always a lil room for a few more snacks if you get your workouts in0 -
I didn't even know I could do that. Okay yeah its open. I think I might not be getting enough fiber....
those are some great ideas for foods to fill me up a little more. And I love the frozen lemon idea! I have been doing frozen bananas recently which are pretty awesome to.0 -
Raw veggies are the best source of fiber, and offer little calorie content. Fiber fills you up, so try eating a serving of vegetables 15 minutes before your actual meal, and you'll find that you might not even be hungry enough to finish that! Of course you should be eating over 1200 calories, and getting plenty of water. A lot of times people think they're hungry but they're really thirsty.0

Mh, after looking over your diary, I feel you are eating way too much processed/frozen food (i.e Pizza, Burrito, etc)...... That stuff has zero nutritional value and could be the reason why you are hungry.
Replace those things with multi-grain rice, veggies, grilled chicken and fish. Snack on turkey jerky, maybe a piece of string cheese, or some soy nuts (cashews are also good but watch the calories).
Hope this helps. Good luck0 -

The above is good advice! Also a little more lean protein might help. Especially if you workout. Like string cheese that is only 50 calories for a snack. I like to spread low cal peanut butter thinly over whole wheat toast. The protein and wheat fills you up.0 -
Thanks for the tips guys! I will try to eat more vegetables and concentrate on healthier snacks.
I would like to have less processed foods around me but I unfortunately am not the person who buys the groceries. A lot of the times I deplete the fresh food we have in the house before be grudgingly switching to the burrito or the pizza. and one or two of the foods were family recipes.0 -
If you're logging your water correctly you may actually be THIRSTY. Our body's are funny and often when you're thirsty your body will signal like it's actually hungry. If I start to get the munchies first thing I do is drink 8oz of water. If I'm still hungry then I was actually hungry. I've also learned having a little more protien with your snacks really helps them last longer. If I'm crunching down some veggies as a snack I'll eat half a can of tuna as well and it REALLY helps.
good luck!!:drinker:0
