Hey all,

I've added the weigh ins to the chart. There are alot of new weights, which is a good thing, but also alot of starting Weights for this week. I'm excited for what is to come and I can feel myself getting back on track.

Week3.jpg

I am almost on TOM and for some reason this month I am having serious back aches and lots of cravings, but I'm sure it will pass in a few days. The feeling exercise and eating healthy gives me cannot be replaced by anything.

This week I plan to continue to log my foods and be aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. I also want to be more active in the weekends and include my family with exercise. I have joined our church volleyball team so that will be a great thing to do on the weekends. And I want to start p90x with a hybrid of Insanity and throw in some running. Thinking of looking for running buddies to keep me motivated and maybe do some races.

What are your goals this week Beautiful blues, and what are your plans to accomplish them?

Got a quick run in today but I have been fighting a migraine all day. I am going to try to do something while watching the football game in a little while.

Does anyone have any snack suggestions I could take in a truck that I wouldn't need to keep cold?

Hope yall are having a great weekend

    Hey All,

I definitely have to get up earlier on Fridays so that I can actually get back on the board :P.

It's been a long week this week and I'm just hoping that next week will be like a million times better. Hope everyone is doing well.

My schedule has been crazy this week AND I started the Shred yesterday and my thighs are burning! I weigh in on Monday mornings and I'm a little nervous. I've been eating well and getting the exercise (Jillian sees to that haha) but my biggest enemy is stress and I've been soooo stressed!

BTW, so excited to be on the chart :-)

Keep it up everyone, you are all AMAZING!

Signeed up to run in the Komen 5k in Hickory NC on 10/16...better get my butt in gear!

Tough very stressful weekend...my mom who has alzheimers fell and broker her arm - she's staying with us she's doing ok....Pray for my patience!

Ate at home most of the weekend--hoping for progress this week.
struggling in the water arena-going to chug right now!

MMMM water--I have not been able to get enough lately. I wish you all the patience in the world Chrissy. You can do anything!

smadag try carrots--they don't have to stay cold and you can just munch on the mini ones all day long. You could do pepper strips too but I don't think they would last as long. Apples and oranges are good too. Jerky for your meat--just be sure to drink water with it!

We had a very short camping trip. The part of the desert we usually go to was an absolute dust bowl. We were covered with dirt boy it was nasty. I think we spent 15 hours out and came back. luckily it is a short drive. It was a great weekend though, just nice to not have plans and spend time together as a family.

Starting the week again is a different story. My daughter has decided to start going through separation anxiety again. I am not having much patience currently. I am starting to wonder if I have not taught my kids any coping skills that don't depend on me!

Have a great day everyone and remember to look forward not backward (definitely a reminder for me!)

maneyes- Hey, so glad to have you back. You can send me the weigh in before friday if that is easier for ya.

MTDork- Great job on doing the Shred. That is a real butt kicker and one of my favorite dvds. I know yoga releases some stress. Have you tried it?

Chrissy- Awesome to hear you joining a race. I wished we all lived closer so we could do a race together. Sorry to hear about your mom, it must be very hard. You are so strong and I admire you for that. I will pray for your mom.

smadag- if you want a hearty snack- I love the Lara bars that are in the health store section. There are also Raw revolution bars which are very filling. The have a good amount of calories in the mid 200s and keep me full for 3- or so hours.

debnu- Water is so good to have- thanks for reminding me of it. I noticed with my 2 year old it's like 2 steps forward, and 1 step back. Maybe you can practice with her in the weekend and have her be not so close to you always. I bet she will do great.

I had a super busy weekend and went to a church game. We did not play volleyball, just watched the guy team play soccer. Laundry and grocery shopping for us. I had a back ache and super cravings and did not do so good on the eating front. I'm past that now, and seriously need to work on getting to sleep early. I know I can do this, and I really want to show a loss this week. I'm super competitive and having a loss among all of you makes me feel good- somehow.

    Take care all,

    and have a great day!

Happy Monday...I'm having a hard day today, just don't feel well and want to eat everything in site. I gave in and ate a Butterfinger so now I'm having to juggle the rest of the day to stay within cals. I'll need to at least go for a walk. I missed my boot camp class this morning because I just didn't think I could make it through. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. Have a great day.

Peeking around the corner. Then a little wave. :flowerforyou:
Hello blue team, and another welcome to the new comers.

Blues... Ladies. I need to confess.
I've had my computer connecting to MFP every day and login, but I've failed to keep reading/posting messages and importantly haven't been logging food. I've tried to keep to good choices, but sometimes I craved for something bad, and I ate it.:ohwell:

Also the lack of exercise, partially caused by having a sore back is probably the main problem. But I have found one cause of my sore back. Stupid mattress we bought 1-2 years ago. It has a euro top. IT SUCKS. it hammocks in, and I was waking up with a very sore back. So sore that one day I could barely put on my socks, and I couldn't tie my shoe laces. I plan on visiting the doctor again soon.
So, I sorta , not sorta. I fell off the wagon. I have been weighing often to keep and eye that it didn't go too far too fast.. I think I"m up + 3-5lbs.

I need to get back into it, and need to make better habits again. Glad to see your all still here and doing well.

Ran two miles, and walked and a quarter last night. Hoping to run 5k distance at least 2 more times this week. Preping for next weeks Komen 5k.

Did a bit better on water - heated it, added lemon juice and splenda for hot lemonade....I love it but I find it really hard to drink water when I am cold.

Hello all...I had a better day today. I'm feeling better but am craving chocolate terribly. It is TOM coming up for me and I'm struggling with the Butterfingers in the cabinet. I am going to send them with my hubby to work tomorrow. I stayed within cals today but I am starving. I missed boot camp on Monday but I will be back at it in the morning. Hope you all have a good evening.

Happy hump day all, it is wednesday today, and the middle of the week, so the weekend is almost here.

I know it has been hard for alot of us, but I know with a dedication and hard work we can all jump back in the bandwagon and start our journey just like before. A funny thing that I find is that the body remembers the workout programs you have done, so it will show you the way on how to work it. We can do this guys, and I find that now with school back in session and routines back in place, we all have the power to make the first step to take care of ourselves each day and put ourselves first by working out and eating healthy. We deserve this and our bodies will thank us for showing it all this love.

Tonight I'll be studying to take a midterm for my class, and then I'll be glad when it's over.

Peter- So glad to hear from you. I hear you on the back ache, I'm feeling it too- I think it's from starting my new job and sitting for most of the day. You can do it though!

chrissy- so very cool to hear of your races coming up. There are races coming up in NYC, and I'm thinking of signing up this month.

smadag- Good luck on your exam coming up. I am sure you will do great.

tamelab- I hear you on the cravings and TOM approximating. The great thing is that after it leaves, I usually lose weight after all the bloating is gone.

Usually alot of people reflect on this time of year on the past year on the things they have done, and what they would still like to accomplish. I am thinking of this myself, and I know that I can do it because I have done it in the past. For me all it takes is preparation and organization. And anything is possible. Have a great day all!

Good luck on your test. TOM got me today and I feel just awful. That was probably why I felt so terrible on Monday.

Peter it is good to see you still around!!

Mayra, I agree with you--preparation and organization make everything possible. I fell off the wagon when we moved mostly because I never prepared and I was in chaos all the time trying to organize. (I am a really bad organizer...I forget that if it doesn't have a place then it doesn't go on the counter or the floor...)

Have a great Wednesday everyone. I have had a busy couple of days running to appointments and such. This month is a busy one!!

Maylan and Tamelad thanks for the well wishes. I did great on my test today and passed with flying colors I am now an official truck driver. TOM has been kicking my butt all day. I have had a migraine all afternoon, I think I am going to go to bed and hope it goes away

CONGRATS!! I'm sure you are glad that is over. I hear you on the migraine. I thought my head was going to explode on Monday. Feel better tomorrow:flowerforyou:

Maylan...Thanks for the encouragement! I enjoy reading your posts.

Chrissy...Good luck on your upcoming race. I totally quit jogging and I hate that. I was so proud of myself. Bobby had his knee replacement and I quit with him. Maybe I'll get started back???

Tamelab- Just start slow and I think your body will let you know how it is doing.

smadag- congrats on passing the test and accomplishing your goal. I often think about you when I think of trucks and deliveries and wish you well. What is your work schedule like?

debnu- glad to hear you are doing well. I know what you mean, this has been a crazy month for me as well with my classes and midterm.

    Hi fitness buddies,

I just signed up for a 5M race on Oct. 31 and am pretty excited. There's another race that I want to also sign up for but I have to wait until the same day to do it, which is on Oct. 17th, which is a 5K, and I will try to make this one as well. I have never run in the cold weather, but I'm going to get my proper sweater/gear on and go do it.

Got a new tatoo tonight, and my pink ribbon touched up. I now have a 3 leaf clover on the under side of my right wrist because i am half Irish.

Thank you all for the well wishes, went to the court house to get my license but the computers went down just as I got there so I will go back in the am and get it taken care.

    Good Morning Blues,

I finally got a chance to weigh myself after like a month of not weighing and I'm happy to note that I've lost a pound. With the change in my environment and getting back to school, I am really happy. I was expecting a gain to be honest.

I hope everyones weekends go well. I may be MIA for a bit seeing as it is Thanksgiving weekend here. Hope you all have a great weekend :)

    Hey all,

maneyes- well happy thanksgiving! Enjoy your weekend and let us know how it goes.

chrissyh- Very cool to do a walk in the morning and a run in the afternoon. I can feel those endorphins rushing in that day.

smadag- I'm seeing alot of awareness going on for breast cancer. That's great!

I have received 4 weigh ins this morning- what a great early group. Keep them coming guys, and I'll put up the chart tonight.

I have to be honest with myself so I changed my weigh in b/c this has been a hard week with school. I am upset at myself for not planning accordingly and taking my exam online while my 2 year old was in the room. I thought she would behave, but she was not letting me finish the timed exam. So, anyhow, I'm getting over that. My eating needs improvement and I need to start my exercise regime. I'm glad the weekend is here so that I can start fresh, and I know that I can do this. I am thinking of rewarding my weight loss efforts with shopping for clothes each time so I can feel good. Anyhow, that's my story.

Take care all, and have a great day!

Happy Friday...I am down another pound this week, which was great considering the week I have had. I missed my class 2 days and only exercised 2 days all week, but I was thankful to get that much done. I just wanted to shout out a quick hello. Supposed to be typing and I have another busy day ahead. Hope you all have a great weekend. I'm excited for all the runners with races coming up. It makes me want to get started again.

Hi ladies! Keep up the great work. I feel like I have hardly been home lately. I took my daughter into the dentist this morning for cavities and teeth pulling--she had some baby teeth that just refused to come out and were effecting her adult teeth. She had sedation which made it very interesting. We are just taking it easy now...

Have a great day and keep up the great work everyone!!

This was posted by Tony Horton on Facebook. I thought it was profound, so I am sharing it here...

Transition is a battle. No question about it. You have to decide if the future matters. Because what you do right now, every day --- meals and exercise (or lack there of) will determine your future.
