Any other restaurant workers here?

I work in restaurant management. As anyone else who works in a restaurant knows, you spend 80% of your waking hours looking at or talking about food. Not to mention the off-hours -- it's not uncommon for me to work 12 to 14 hour days or late nights. I'm lucky enough to work in a restaurant with a wonderful from-scratch kitchen with amazing ingredients and produce, so it's easier to be able to make the right decisions when I have to eat at work, but it's definitely NOT easy to be surrounded by delicious, high-end food every day! The hours also aren't conducive to avoiding late-night eating scarfing down the first thing you get a chance to grab.

With that being said, I love my job and I'm really passionate about what I do. Let's face it, I love food, it's how I got to be overweight. Not to mention I get to be on my feet and keep active during work hours. Now it's a matter of being able to juggle my love for food and my need to be healthy.

So here's what I was wondering: Is anyone else in the same situation? What other tips or life-hacks do you have? Feel free to add me, as I'd love to be able to commiserate!
