Giving in to Cravings

Last night after 6 weeks of eating "clean" with basically just lean protein, veg and fruit and some lentils and protein shakes I finally gave into a craving. I went to my local Pho place and had a medium sized bowl of Beef Pho. In the morning weight myself I had gained about 3 pounds.

My thought today. Damn, I should do that more often. Honestly I feel pretty good today, don't have the craving because I satisfied it and heck that 3 pounds of extra weight is just water because of all the sodium content in Pho. Feel like I have a little more energy and am looking forward to hitting the weights tonight as I continue with my current diet plan.

Bottom line, I have learned that if you have cravings...give into them now and again it raises the spirits and lets you carry on doing what you know is going to do you good in the long run.

Not going to claim this is true for everyone so I'm just sharing this as my personal experience not saying "Hey everyone this worked for me so it will work for you too!", I guess if you have nonstop cravings and gave into them every time that wouldn't be good but if you have a craving now and again why not indulge, you know you are eating healthier and exercising more than you have through all that time in your life where you managed to pack on some pounds.

Suppose that's what the idea of a "cheat meal" is all about huh.
