Digital Bathroom Scale

Ok I have an EatSmart Digital BAthroom scale. I really liked it at first but now it's rather annoying. I have a hard time steadying myself on the scale and perhaps that causes it to take FOREVER to settle on a number. However if I hold onto the towel bar so that I am still it comes to a total quickly. I have changed the batteries, it is on a hard flat surface, I do not move it, and it is calibrated. Do you think holding onto the towel bar would make the reading on the scale false?

Yes, holding onto a bar will provide an inaccurate weight.

Yes, even the slightest touch of anything will throw the weight off.

Yes. This is due to the bar supporting part of your weight

Yes holding on to anything will definitely affect your reading. It would most likely make your reading less, depending on how you were holding on. Even if you let go after, since it's a digital scale it will not be an accurate reading.

I have that scale too, no problems yet. But I've heard they have really good customer service and they'll probably send you a replacement if you contact them.

Holding onto something alters your weight because it changes your body mass. It's best if you stand on the scale with arms at your side for the most accurate reading.

Costco has a nice digital scale for like $20. Goes up to 400 big ones.
