Calzones...sort of
My friend just gave me the best dinner idea, i tweaked it a bit to make it more diet friendly....okay here we go....
1 loaf frozen bread dough ( i bought the whole wheat variety)
turkey pepperoni
italian seasoned ground turkey
canadian bacon
any amount and variety of veggies you like (mushrooms, green pepper, olive, onion)
2 cups Mozzarilla cheese ( i bought weight watchers)
Light marinara sauce, low fat ranch...or any desired sauces...
Let bread thaw and rise according to package directions, when thawed place on floured surface and roll to approx. 1/2 inch thickness
top with browned meat, pepperoni, veggies and lastly top with cheese.
Roll up length wise...like a jelly roll.... and brush with a little olive oil and egg
bake at 350 for 35 minutes
Serve with warmed marinara sauce and low fat ranch dressing:drinker:
