And I lost like .... 0 pounds.

Well, that's not entirely true. I lost about 20 lbs for a vacation I went on a while back. I restricted my calories to an unhealthy level and spent my days and nights in a constant state of hangry. I also did cardio to the point where my legs were jello walking out of the gym.

But I wasn't even happy with my loss. In the vacation pictures, I didn't look like the thin little thing I imagined. I was just a slightly smaller, still flabby version of the old me.

I relapsed and started eating without logging, and I stopped going to the gym. Until I got back up to my starting weight. I started a lifting routine, hurt myself..had to take a break. That break turned into months and months. I would start again, quit again, start again, quit again...

So why is this topic in "Success stories" you may ask?? Well, I don't know... I'm still here trying aren't I? I think that's a success. You don't fail until you've given up, and I haven't given up. It feels real bad to read success stories of people who have been on here a third of the time that I have and already reached their goal. But, I guess everyone has their own way. Mine just happens to be the long, hard and drawn out way.

Here's to hoping that I finally "get it" and stick with a healthy lifestyle. But if not, I won't stop getting back up after I fall, you can believe that.

Maybe you should try again but with less of a deficit? Like if every time you try you're reducing your intake loads and upping your exercise you just get tired and hungry and more likely to give up?
If you just reduce a bit, maybe set it to 1 or half a pound a week loss, and do a bit of cardio a few times a week, you might be more likely to stick at it and in another two years you'll be celebrating even more :)

The fact that you haven't given up is a success in itself. You can do what you need to do, you have been here long enough to know what works. Bad habits are hard to break and on the flip side good habits are hard to maintain. Keep up the good work OP, a healthier lifestyle is worth the effort! :flowerforyou:
