Friday I am getting the new Samsung Gear Fit activity tracker watch (http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/gear/gearfit_features.html ). I was going to get the Fitbit Force but it was recalled. This does everything plus more that my BodymediaLink armband does but the Gear is gorgeous. It is $$ ($195.95) but I will no longer pay a subscription fee for the data so it will eventually balance out. I wanted something that I could view the data on directly plus was also a watch. I know this is a new area opening up and there will rapidly be more trackers of this type (I know LG is coming out with one) but I don't want to wait any longer. For the first few weeks I am going to continue to wear my Bodymedia for comparison so I'll let you know how this works out.

I am not sure if this only works with the Samsung line up of phones or any android phone.

Features of the Gear Fit include a pedometer, exercise monitor, heart rate, sleep, stopwatch, timer and of course a clock.

Although it doesn't sync with MFP you can take the calorie totals from MFP and enter the data into the app to get your calorie deficit. This does more than the Fitbit so may be more complicated but if more is what you want then this looks really great.

its a $200 dollar paper weight until they can get it to sync with myfitnesspal.

I hope its only a matter of time until they allow this or add the app device. yes its cool i love mine but I'm weighting patientlyuntil this feature is added
