Eating back exercise calories isn't a bad thing. If you're working out a lot, but not fueling yourself properly, you may not get the results you want.

You won't gain a bunch of weight in two weeks. Try not to worry so much about the number on the scale (and eating under your calorie goals to try to get to your goal), and moreso on taking care of your body and giving it what it needs.

If what you are currently doing, in staying below your goal, is not working, then what have you got to lose in at least trying upping it a little?

It's good for those last few to come off slowly. As long as you are making progress, I wouldn't change anything.

It will take longer for her to reach her goal. As long as what she is doing is healthy, she should stick to it, and not expect to lose more than 0.5 lbs per week.

I've been doing the gain-a-pound, lose-a-pound dance for a while myself. Also struggling lose the last 7lbs (or is that 8lbs this week...?). Upping the intensity of my kettlebell sessions as of tomorrow so I'll see how that goes. If that doesn't work then I may try adding running and I HATE running. But then again, I hated working out about 6 weeks ago... Add me if you like!

I'm doing the whole shebang - photos, measurements and body fat percentage on top of weight and (touch wood) something is usually moving even if the scales aren't.

Could you up your weights intensity AND eat more incrementally?

Upping my calories made a huge difference in my weight loss. I dropped over two pounds this week because of starting to up my calories and adding variety into my workouts. I tried a new form of cardio that also used my lower body more. I used the stairs of my apartment to do step-ups at different stages - forward and sideways. Sometimes I walked up a few stairs and back down.
