Net Kilojoules?

I am under my food kilojoules goal and then when i exercise it puts me way under my net kilojoules (5021).
So is it the Net Kilojoules that are meant to meet my 5021kJ goal or,
is it my food kJ that is meant to meet my goal? I'm so confused!

Your nett kilojoules should not be below 5021. You are supposed to "eat back" the kilojoules you've exercised. That is the basis MFP works on. But, if you don't wear a heart rate monitor, to track your actual kilojoules burn, and you have to use the data base here to track your exercise, then it is best to eat back only half of your exercise kilojoules, because MFP over-estimates the exercise kilojoules.0
