Help with motivation and food ideas

Ok so I have been trying the MFP for nearly 3 weeks now and thought I would put my questions/anxieties out there for some help.
I'm having trouble getting motivated to exercise. I used to be able to get up in the morning put on my running clothes and go straight for a run with my dog in tow! (normally for about 3 miles, which I know isn't far but still its better than nothing surely?!), however recently I go to bed the night before with the desire to go first thing in the morning but I always seem to just change my mind at the last minute, then find myself regretting it later on.
I have also managed to cut out nearly all of my bad eating habits, however there are foods that I just cannot stomach such as most vegetables (especially green veg) and anything with mayo/relish in, so salad is out of the question!
I desperately need some words of wisdom/motivation/guidance or I can see myself giving up!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think you could stick to eating at a deficit for a month if you weren't also trying to motivate yourself to exercise? If so, why not try that! Then in a month or so after you've lost some more weight I'll bet you will feel much better about yourself and going for a walk will seem like something you *want* to do rather than a chore.
Also, have you purchased a food scale? Its really difficult to know exactly how many calories you are eating without a scale.
Regarding vegetables -- maybe put eating one new vegetable a month on your to do list, then get comfortable with that vegetable before you add another. Salad dressings don't have to contain mayonnaise, btw. Right now my very favorite is a balsamic vinaigrette!
Trust me, you will be very happy if you can conquer the overweight "problem" at your age instead of letting it go until my age!

There lots of ways to get veggies rather than eat them plain. You can add a serving to dish. I add them to egg whites and scramble them. You can add them to rice, etc. Cut them small. Also consider juicing them. It is pretty tasty but can be a more costly way. I am a person that loves veggies, unfortunately my family not so much.
Try to do something fun for exercise. I love to dance although I don't it is my exercise. I found a bootcamp that I love strangely. It makes me feel strong. I love roller skating and take my girls and any girlfriends. We make a day of it.
I hope this helps. Feel free to add me....0
