Stress and eating

Hello,
Last year I was on good health path, I quit smoking, ate really well, exercise and I lost quite a bit of weight. However, this semester has been crazy. With work and all my assignments due in the last month, I started eating pasta all the time, take out food, I have chocolate and craving doughnuts 24/7. It's new for me since usually stress cuts my appetite and I just don't eat. Now putting on pounds instead of losing. I'm getting a bit discouraged by it, I'm too exhausted to cook healthy food because it demands preparation. As a result, I decided to finish my semester by treating myself with a vegan week challenge (I'm already vegetarian) and go back to my healthy lifestyle I started previously. Anyone knows how to deal with food and stress so I don't overeat every time I get overwhelmed with stress and work and school?

Thank you in advance :)

I'm feeling the same thing at the moment, my food intake has been pretty bad, today especially with all my snacking.
I've still managed to keep myself at around maintenance and still log everything, only a month left of uni so things will be good again soon :)

As for mitigating it, I'm trying to plan my food a day in advance and make sure I have enough to eat, add in some fruit here and there and try to get some protein in.

Truly the only way I am able to handle stress is to fit in some exercise every day. No matter how bad or tired I feel, I drag myself to the gym to work off that stress by sweating a little. I always feel better afterwards and I sleep better too.
