Weekends! How do you stay focused?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a hard time eating properly and working out on the weekends. What has helped you stay on track? Any tips are welcome (Except for "just suck it up and do it")

I try to maintain the same eating schedule, if I can, and avoid putting myself in tempting situations. So, I have the same breakfast and lunch, and if I'm going out with friends, I eat dinner first and budget X number of calories for drinks or what have you. (This is why I drink primarily whiskey these days - only 69 calories per oz!) I have also lost any shame I once had about bringing food over to other people's houses to snack on, or even bringing a whole entree if I know the friend won't be offended. I also try to plan my work outs so that if I know I'll be out in one of those tempting situations, I have some extra calories to eat or drink from a good cardio session.0

I naturally have around 2 higher calorie days per week anyway... I try to let those fall on weekends if possible. I'd rather accept breakfast and drink invitations and such and enjoy life. That being said, I try not to overdo it (eg I'll go out for drinks but maybe not for brunch the next day), and eat decently light the day of a bigger event. Not too much or that backfires - I just try to do filling meals throughout the day that are my normal ones, like the other poster said, and skip extras like dessert or an extra bread slice to save some room for that night.0
