    This is a good idea it shows your committed to losing the weight but if you try extreme methods like this you will just gain more back in the rebound stages.

    Aim for 2-3 lbs a week anything more will be vital muscle and you need that to stay on as more muscle revs up your M !

    It actually isn't possible to do this in a healthy way. I have to eat 13300 calories a week to maintain my current weight. Five lbs of fat is 17,500 calories. Soooo.. this is only possible if: 1. You have a lot of water weight/water retention. 2. You don't mind losing lots of muscle. =)

    I did this a few years ago by working out for 2 hours a day and barely eating - so it definitely works, just not the best way to lose weight!
