What was your favorite cereal growing up?

Absolutely bizarre, but I was just thinking about this before I came on here. Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. Oh my gosh. I can't even have it in the house now (or any fun cereal really) or I'll just keep eating it.0

Fav cereal - it's a toss up between porridge home made by Mum or Weetabix. Still love them both and feel comforted when i eat them but the porridge has been replaced by the Oat so simple golden syrup flavour - which is very yummy!0

It used to be Trix, because they were in cool fruit shapes. But Trix are for kids, and now they are just boring round puffs...
I had no idea that they ever made fruit-shaped ones! Yep, in the 80s they were round.
I will always remember them as those wonderful fruit shapes; the golden age of cereals.0 -
I never realized Trix had ever been shaped!
And somehow Cookie Crisp escaped my list - that stuff was amazing.
And on corn pops - yup my son eats them still (as does dh), so they definitely still make them.0 -
I never realized Trix had ever been shaped!
I totally forgot about that. But I do remember fruit shaped Trix as a kid as opposed to the round ball shapes it is now.0 -
Just Right
Corn Pops
Fruit Loops0 -
"Quisp" and "Freakies" and "Pink Panther Flakes"...even liked "Buckwheats"!
Oh, I remember Buckwheats! I liked them, too!
I wish they would bring back those cut-out records. They were pretty cool.0 -
Frosted Flakes FOREVER!!!0
-
I would say.... Frosties from Kellog's ! :O0
-
Apple Jacks
Frankenberry
Booberry
Sugar Smacks
Corn Pops0 -
In this order

Apple Jacks
Fruit Loops
Honeycomb
Cocoa Krispies
Frosted Flakes
Corn Pops - they used to call this Sugar Pops and changed the name
ETA: also something called Honey Grahams or something like that ....

How did I forget to add this cereal?
Fruity Pebbles!0 -
#1 nesquick. lots of it until the milk turned dark brown.

Frosted flakes... sometimes with orange juice. (yup. I was that kid)
Rice krispies... dry. or made into squares.0 -
Cheerios
Wheaties
Wheat Chex
Never did like the super sweet stuff (and any way, Mom wouldn't bring it into the house!)0 -
CAP'N CRUNCH (original peanut butter) <
Now there's a scary thought0 -
You guys have bad memories, because "Smurf Berry Crunch" was the best cereal.0
-
Honey Nut, yo.0
-
Shredded Wheat - The big ones that filled the bowl! Still love them. In the early 60's, there weren't so many choices and very few sugar sweetened cereals available. In the winter, I liked Cream of Rice. :flowerforyou:0
-
Curiously Cinnamon/Cinnamon Toast Crunch (depending on location). I can't get enough of cinnamony stuff!0
-
Strawberry Shortcake cereal was my absolute favorite. I'm an 80's kid!0
-
Sugar Puffs..... mum only bought them every few months, they were expensive back then and would only last a day or two. I can't buy them as I know I'd eat the box in one go.0
-
Honey Chex0
-
Super Sugar Crisp was my all-time favorite, hands down!
But I also loved:
Corn Pops
Honeycomb
Captain Crunch
and Raisin Bran. But I'd load it up with sugar and MORE raisins.0 -
Frosted shredded wheat0
-
Golden Grahams, yum!0
-
When we were kids, we figured out the way to make those "sugared raisins", that were in Raisin Bran. You simply toss raisins in sugar.! More was more, and now, more is more to lose. Live and learn and live.0
-
Fruity Pebbles made into "krispie treats".0
-
Count Chocula, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Pebbles... I liked Captain Crunch but man that stuff eats the roof of your mouth!0
