Blood Circulation Problems

I'm having issues with blood circulation in my arms and I can't figure out what to do, this has been happening for a few months now. I've been waking up frequently because my arms feeling like I have needles in them. I've brought it up to my doctor and she said that if I'm having these issues caused by sleeping that I should try to sleep in different positions so I've tried and can't seem to train my body into doing it. Just recently I've noticed that the circulation issues are going beyond sleeping now and I'm kind of concerned.

Is there any advice out there on how to keep this from happening or any advice on the subject in general?

I woke up one morning and couldn't feel my arm, felt like a piece of dead weight attached to me. I thought for a few moments I had a stroke or something. Was very scary, I had to pick it up with other arm and sat up. After a few moments it started to wake up and returned to normal after a few minites. I told my doctor and he said that must of been the way I was sleeping but I have never had anything like that before.. A few nights later I had the pins and needles feeling again as I was trying to go to sleep and this happened a few times. I was really inactive at the time so I decided to start doing light arm workouts again I thought that my inactivity was the reason. Since I have been working out my arms again I haven't had this problem again

I suggest lifting even some small weights a few times a day or some other exercise to get arm muscles working. Also try not to sleep with head on arm. I belive it was because of my inactivity of my arms that caused this problem with me...

Go back to the doctor or get a different doctor.
