I've notice alot of people talking about BMR and TDEE? what are these and how are they calculated?
Also MFP put me on a 1600 calorie diet. I'm currently at 223 lbs trying to get down to atleast under 200. But I find that this calorie level leaves me SOOOOOO hungry all freaking day. No matter how much water i drink or how many veggies i munch on. any tips?

Change your weight loss per week from 2 pounds a week to 1.5 or 1 pound a week.

The weight will come off slower but you will not "break" or end up binging.

Also you could use that way to ween yourself. Maybe start with 1 pound a week for a while, then you will be able to eat 2100 calories a day. When you get comfortable with that, try to change it to 1.5 pounds a week, eating 1850 calories a day. When/if you get comfortable with that you can go for 2 pounds a week, or 1600 calories a day.

EDIT: Also, eat more things with protein and fat. They keep you full longer.

at 223lbs are you aiming to lose 1 lb a week? At 225lbs I did 2lbs so my calories were restricted to 1200-1300. But yes, like everyone said, eat proteins and fats to keep you satisfied. I'd also recommend to eating several times a day (every 3 hours), even if it is an apple and carrots between meals.
