Always feeling sick, cold and tired around 12pm and on

This never happened before I started revamping my eating habits and now it happens every day. I feel like I'm going to be sick right now. The feelings include nausea, upset stomach, headache, fatigue, dizziness, and not to mention shivers! Please help. Feel free to look at my diary and give me some suggestions.

I don't want to state the obvious, but are you sure you are eating enough in the morning?

This is exactly how I feel when I haven't eaten in a long time.

    Are you skipping meals?

I know the feeling and I havent had any problems since I've started eating oatmeal and a fruit (I usually slice a banana and put it in my oatmeal) and of course my coffee is a must have. If you like oatmeal, try that and see if that helps...

After a cursory glance through your diary, I would hazard a guess that perhaps you're not getting enough protein in (most days looked like between 35-50 grams per day). At 19, you're probably not done growing yet and your body needs a good balance of all the macronutrients to stay happy and fit. If I start to feel wobbly, I notice it's often on days that I'm a lot lower in my protein goals than usual. Just a thought! You could try upping either protein or overall calories by a bit and see if that helps.

    more fat- more protein.

also the unusual (actually usual suspect people forget) is more rest.

It looks like you're not eating much fat, which can cause problems. It's pretty vital, and there are quite a lot of nutrients that can only be absorbed by the body if you have fat with them so you might be causing a deficiency too. Try adding some nuts or olive oil or avocado or something like that.

It could also be not quite enough protein or calories in general, or it could be something unrelated that might need a doctor's advice.

Or it might be an intolerance or some kind of reaction to something you're eating... The nausea anyway. But it might be good to get some proper medical advice if you're feeling really bad.

I'll do that! I usually have to eat what my family buys- not out of the house yet- and my mother is crazy for non-fat stuff. Looks like I'll have to request a change :) thank you!

I don't eat much meat.. What are some other ways of getting protein? I try but I can never reach my protein goal. Protein bars could work but the taste gets to me after a while. :(

Nope! I don't like skipping meals. I like my food ;) especially my breakfast.

Good! I was just worried because this is exactly how I feel if I don't eat until lunchtime.... Very not fun

Also for protien eggs are a fantastic source (especially whites) and very versitile. Hard boiled, egg salad, scrambled. Nuts are also good and make a nice snack (there is also peanut butter which has more fat in it as well). Also beans and dairy (milk, cheeese, yogurt). Finding protien without meat is hard but not impossible. Are you vegetarian? Tofu also has pretty good protien amounts.
