This is what I make about every second day either before or after a workout. After a lot of trial and error I've found a real nice combination of ingredients that makes an awesome Vegetable smoothie way better than store bought so I thought I'd share it.

2prvgpl.jpg

- Lime Slice
- Lemon Slice
- Beets......................................50g
- Celery.....................................35g
- Carrots....................................35g
- Parsley....................................5 sprigs
- Organic Cilantro......................5 Sprigs
- Organic Baby Kale.................30g
- Organic Baby Spinach...........40g
- English Cucumber w/Peel.. ...75g
- Tomatoes on the Vine..........170g

- Add Pepper and about 3 cups of water in the Blender (water line just a little above the ingredients)

- Can't really deviate from the amounts much or it throws the whole taste off! lol

- Always feel great after downing one of these and the whole thing is only about 118 cals with a lot of great nutrients, esp. potassium : )

OMG, that looks awesome! I'm currently drinking a fruit/greens/seeds combo. 300g of mixed spinach, kale, romaine and baby bokchoy, 300g blueberry/banana/cranberry/apple and 50g mixed seeds. Keeps me full for hours :)

Yes, this time I used those little cucumbers that look like large dill pickles so I peeled the skin but I usually use English cucumbers with all of the skin : )

I usually use 25g kale, 75g romaine, 100g spinach, 100g bok choy, 100g blueberry, 100g banana, 25g cranberry and 75g apple, 20g sunflower seeds, 10g chia seeds, 10g flax seeds, and 10g hemp seeds and about 2 cups of water and a splash of lemon.
I tend to use the same greens, but often vary the fruit and sometimes use nuts with or instead of seeds.

Nice! I used to make Kale and grape/ green apple/ berry and flax seed smoothies but prefer to just eat my fruit now. But since I have most of these ingredients already I can pick up the other stuff I would need from bulk at the grocery store and give it a try, thanks! : )

p.s. Show us your smoothie! lol

'Hope you like it if you give it a go. I'm definitely gonna give yours a try. It reminds me of gazpacho and I love that.

My smoothie tastes better than it looks. The blueberries combined with the greens makes the smoothie a pretty unappealing shade of pea soup or gray :P However, it has been a really useful way to get my nutrients in since new dental work keeps me from chewing. Love that it is quick and portable, too.

In mine, I put in a whole apple, 1 small banana, 2 strawberries, 1 kiwi, and about 2 handfuls of spinach. Sometimes I use kale and if I have grapes around I chuck some in. I use water and skimmed milk or soy milk for mine :)
