Ripped in 30 meal plan help?

I posted this under fitness and nutrition but mistakenly named it 30DS and am now unable to edit the subject title so I am reposting here in the hopes of increasing my chances that someone will respond. I am planning on starting Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 soon and was looking over the meal plan that comes with it. She says each meal is around 400 calories with snacks being 200 calories each, however, I noticed many of the meals are significantly lower in calories for example: "Turkey Kebabs" is a 182 calorie per serving dinner and "Roasted Salmon" is 203 calories/serving.

My question is: am I supposed to eat 2 servings of say the salmon to bring the calorie count up to near 400 or am I supposed to come up with side options that bring the total calorie count up? ...It seems weird to me to eat 2 pieces of salmon for dinner with no sides as I am used to eating a protein/veggie/starch dinner composition but this seems like a pretty comprehensive meal plan and I think if it was meant to be served "with" something she would have said so.

I thought this was going to be easy, but now I am so confused! If any of you have done Ripped in 30 with the meal plan before can you please help me?
