Injury question

I woke up this am to a sore back (I had to lift and restrain a 97lb dog yesterday). I was too chicken to do my workout (you only get one back right?) and so I was wondering how many days off should I take?

Not an expert but I would go for until the pain is sufficiently low that you can get back to your workouts. When aches and pains strike I tend to slow down the pace; it give me the opportunity to still stay active without the strain.0
