losing lbs, but it seems ive actually added inches.. HELP!

Since Sept, I have lost 50lbs. I noticed a lull in my losing, so I upped my exercise to 5-6 days a week, walking briskly for about an hour. It has helped re-start my losing again. However, my arms (which are my worst feature) dont seem to be getting any smaller. I use 8lb hand weights and do kickbacks, curls, lifts and some yoga-esq push ups. when I measured this morning, it seems I have added inches! Im confused and starting to get discouraged. should I up the lbs of my hand weights? can someone please help me?!?!?!?!?!
