You are fairly tall. You are young. You work out a good amount. All of those things factor in.
The MFP calculation DOES NOT INCLUDE EXERCISE. This is what you would eat to lose weight if you did no exercise. (And it may or may not be too low depending on how many pounds per week you told it you want to lose. It allows you to choose an amount that may or may not be appropriate for you.)
Do the TDEE - 20 %.0 -
thank you just chosing now what to do! well my i will offically be starting saturday morning as this as is when i weigh myself this is also my treat day/night my TDEE say i should eat 1700cal a day SO im going to log everything as i would usually eat/drink on a saturday if im over my 1700cals then i think i will after to take the road of MFP cals + banking all work out calories so i have that little bit "extra" to spend on the saturday...this is probably best way to do it0

Also starting at 164 @ 5" 8 already puts you in a healthy weight range, so doing TDEE - 20% is a little agressive. Im 5" 7 and lose eating 1700 + exercise cals back which most days takes me close to 2000, so eat as many calories as you can no need to restrict to much.0

Her goal is to lose 30 pounds, so a 20% deficit would be appropriate for now until she loses a bit more.0
