losing lbs, but gaining inches??? HELP!!

Since Sept, I have lost 50lbs. I noticed a lull in my losing, so I upped my exercise to 5-6 days a week, walking briskly for about an hour. It has helped re-start my losing again. However, my arms (which are my worst feature) dont seem to be getting any smaller. I use 8lb hand weights and do kickbacks, curls, lifts and some yoga-esq push ups. when I measured this morning, it seems I have added inches! Im confused and starting to get discouraged. should I up the lbs of my hand weights? can someone please help me?!?!?!?!?!

thanks for responding.. I am doing arm kickbacks (knee slightly bent, with arm paralell to the floor and pushing back), tricept curls and push ups... I do the yoga type push ups as I dont have the upper body strength for the normal ones. I measured this week after about 4 weeks and ive increased about 3 inches. doyou have any suggestions as to what are the best arm exercises to so to lose the jiggle?

3 full inches to your arms, or 3 inches total?

Regardless, it's very likely water retention as your muscles repair themselves. Sometimes this is reflected on the scale, for you it appears limited to the areas worked. Keep doing what you're doing and monitor your inches lost; I've had occasional areas that went up .25-.5" before dropping back down (or down even further). Usually just a repair thing.

Be sure you're accurate in where you're measuring, as well.
