I am about 30 pounds overweight should i do p90x?

Hello, I just recently finished T-25, loosing around 15 pounds. I currently weigh 204, and want to be around 170. I was looking at the p90x program, and then I saw how many calories they want me to eat every day. I've been given several different answers as to whether or not the program would be a good idea for me, and I need some help deciding. I would like to look fit, not necessarily hulk status, but I'd like to be ripped and have a nice 6 pack, etc. I'm not concerned about weight gain, as long as it's muscle I'm gaining, not fat. What should I do from here?

Give it a try! I was 60lbs overweight when I started insanity. Just listen too your body. Are you concerned with it being too much for you? Or the meal plan? I've never been a fan of beachbody meal plans... I like some of the recipes but eating them day to day is a little unrealistic for the average person.... I've seen a lot of people using IIFYM along with P90x and Insanity and getting great results!

It all boils down to your comfort zone. Eating at a calorie deficiency will allow you to lose weight. Exercise and water aid in that weight loss. The type of exercise you do depends on picking something that you will stick with. The best exercise in the world would not mean anything if you aren't eating correctly or not care for the type of exercise you do.
