l am getting over a chest infection which has lasted for almost a week and am on antibiotics. my chest isn't completely cleared up but feel l can do some cardio. how long do you wait till you start back at the gym and are there any guidelines on this???

If your chest is still congested I wouldn't attempt cardio. Rule of thumb is if your symptoms are from the neck up then you should be okay to workout. Neck down then rest.
I would personally take more time off and let myself get better than risk a relapse and making myself worse.0 -
My method is to wait until one day after I feel normal to go back to the usual workouts. I've found if I push back too early it just extends the illness.0

Rest and recovery is also a very important part of health and fitness. Take a few more days off, it will do you a world of good.0
