I've been going to the gym for ten or so years. Lately I have been seeing people take a broom stick and place it in their hands and raise it above their head and move it forward and back. Does anyone know what the purpose of this exercise is? What are they doing? Just wondering in case I should be doing it too. :-)

Sounds like they are doing shoulder dislocations. It stretches out your pecs and front delts and helps get your shoulders warmed up. I do it with a PVC pipe before I bench and overhead press.0

Agreed. Start with a wide grip, take the stick all the way back and over time move your hands closer together.0 -
Cool. Thanks for the info.0
