Hello,
I am 6ft Female with an overall goal of losing 110 pounds. i have since January lost 25 Pounds so Have about 89 Pounds to lose ( 40 Kilos). I have done this by working out 5 days a week (gym), 40 to 1 hour and a half of cardio, and have been doing a yoga/pilates mix about 3-4 times a week, so have been consistently losing 2 pounds per week.
I was thinking since I have heaps to lose should I wait maybe until I am 3 quarters of a way there (to my goal weight) then start strength training? I'm not worried about Lose skin because I won't have that much, Because I'm tall.
Also How many reps and sets are good for toning? I really just want to tone with a thin figure.

Start!! There is no reason to wait. Jump in where you are at.0

start now muscle burns more calories and you can do cardio weights for toning instead of muscle mass.0

I hear good things about The New Rules of Lifting for Women.
1) Toning is muscles with less fat covering them.
2) It would take you years of really hard dedicated work to get "bulky"

I don't think of her as bulky.
Also look over in the Success Stories for lots of woman on MFP who have lifted heavy0 -
Yes! Not only will increased muscle mass raise your metabolism, you will have some nice muscles built up and ready to flaunt when the fat is gone!0

Sounds like you're making excellent progress. I'm 5'11 and want to lose about 100 more. I find when I add strength training I get better results. I don't think you need to wait. I've heard that when you do strength training that you burn more calories while resting so I think that is incentive enough to do it!0
