What do you consider a safe pace to lose weight?

Hey Guys,

I am currently 77kgs (162cm) and am looking at losing 15kg at the most (already lost 10kgs).

I found that the first 10kgs were quite easy (4 months) just by calorie counting (1200 to 1400 a day) but I have been sitting on the same weight for about 2-3 months.

I have a desk job so so I am really not active during the week, at the moment.

I have just started the gym where I will be aiming to go at least 4 times a week and wanted to give myself a goal date.


In your opinion, What is a good goal date to loose 15kgs? Or how many weeks?

    Personally I wouldn't try to set a goal date I'd just try to stick with a routine that will put you at a caloric deficit while working out enough to retain your muscle.

    If you really want a time estimate for 15kg I'd think the fastest reasonable would be 6 months but that would be pretty quick. Keep in mind that as you pointed out when you are very over weight the weight comes off easier, the last bit of fat you want to lose will probably take longer.
