I've thought the same thing when I picked up my 9 yr old cousin. She's 60 pounds and I've lost 55 lbs, and I could barely hold her up for a minute to see into a museum exhibit! Definitely realize why I was so lazy and getting around wasn't fun with that extra 55 lbs on me. It's like giving my cousin a piggy back ride for all eternity!

I love your story. I too experienced something along those lines.
My granddaughter who is 5 wanted me to pick her up...which I did and was carrying her around. Someone said
I should't do that because it is hard on your back etc. I laughed at them and told them she is less then what I
had lost so carrying her was nothing compared to what I had been carrying!!

    Congrats on your weight loss!!

  • Well mine is small compared to the others....but in perspective.....it is still two bags of potatos. LOL

I could never imagine it. I know how it is and to think if I had to carry around 90 lbs again I probably won't do it.. never again going back. Good luck on your journey

I would have to carry around my 7 year old and my 3 year old and they would weigh just a bit more than what I've lost.

WOW!! that list really does put it in perspective. I read once that after losing a significant amount of weight a group of people were given weight vests to wear while the worked out that weighed the same amount that they had already lost, i thought that was crazy! I think that is a great idea to keep you motivated.

jdsounthernbell , hey that's two sacks of potatos that you don't have to carry around anymore though!
