Mistakes People KEEP MAKING Recording Food in Database

A whole lot of people are now either recording food with measurements in the name part, or they are recording food with 2 different measurements--where the measurements go.
This IS MESSING UP THE DATABASE A WHOLE LOT!!!!
If you are recording measurements in the name section, when people go to use your recording in the food database, they end up with both your measurement from the name section, followed by their own actual measurement from the amount of that food that ate. This IS NOT GOOD!!! This is ESPECIALLY BAD ON THE PERSON USING YOUR ENTRY when they have a different size or measurement than what the person who recorded it had. It ends up showing one WRONG measurement and your right measurement that you actually ate.
Then when people record 2 different measurements in the measurement section, the computer only recognizes the 1st measurement number---until the space bar is pressed. This is how computer programs are written people. Then when someone uses your entry in the food data base, it only adjusts the measurement size based on the 1st measurement listed before the space bar is pressed. Then, people using your entry with 2 measurements end up with the 1st measurement that adjusts to to amount eaten, and the 2nd measurement right next to it, ALWAYS STAYS THE SAME!
NO BODY NEEDS 2 MEASUREMENTS IN THEIR FOOD DIARY, WITH ONE OF THEM ALWAYS WRONG if YOU'RE NOT EATING EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE SERVING AS WHO RECORDED IT!!
PEOPLE NEED TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS WHEN THEY RECORD FOOD AND PUT IT IN THE FOOD DATABASE FOR OTHERS TO USE!
PUT ONE MEASUREMENT---WHERE IT GOES! IT IS THAT SIMPLE!!

This is why I seldom use the database except for things like fruit .. but anything that has nutritional info on the package .. I make my own My Foods entry, as well I cannot trust that people actually did it right. I also weigh almost all my food .. and measuring in cups etc is just not acceptable to me.

With all that shouting, your blood pressure must be sky high. Don't stroke out over it. Just multiply by the fraction you ate for heavens sake.0

There are four of them. I'm surprised the OP stopped there and didn't spam every board with them.0 -

I do not understand people posting back lash to this post. She let us know what could happen so we are not confused or feeling bad about something that is artificial. Just because she did not post a dozen smiley faces and lol's, does not indicate that she meant to shout at anyone or be angry. I personally do not think what she posted was bad in anyway and I do not understand the multiple posts criticizing this post. Your help is always welcome to me. I guess I am more thick skinned- it is not like there were names mentioned so that someone could take it personally or swear words. I approve of open communication and if you do not like someones post, just ignore it. If you discourage this person and she stops posting, you are eliminating those of us who find this information valuable. Let's all not judge, please! Thank you for reading this. Best of luck to all, even people who disagree with me!0
