Indian methi gota suggestion

I have waffle maker and I had the idea to make a healthier version if methi gota ( lentil hush puppies) I took a package of Gits Methi Gota exchanged the water for milk to boost the protein, added an egg and 1 1/2 tbsp of canola oil to make the batter. It is hard to count the calorie savings because I think Gits only lists the batter calories at 170 per serving, which seems low for fried lentil fritters. Either way I made 5 gota waffles and I estimate the calories at 187 for each of the high protein low fat waffles. If they are in fact including the frying oil typically used to fry gota then the calorie savings is even better.
Nope, they did not include the fry oil. Prepared gota is 300 calories per portion of 6
