Veggie "Smoothies" / Calorie Count

Hi all.
First things first. i HATE veggies. Ive always ate just meat and hardly any vegetables and now im 28 with High blood pressure and high cholesterol (Im guessing living off of fast food for the past 10 years is the reason)
About a year ago i started eating healthier and cut out a lot of fast food down to one day a week with co-workers (Previously was everyday) but never really excersized, i lose a few lbs but nothing significant.
My dad recently told me about (since hes like me and does not like veggies) Veggie smoothies and told me how he does them. Might not really be a "Smoothie" i just use frozen california mix veggies, spinach, blueberries and a banana to sweeten it up where its actually drinkable. Ive probably consumed (and i know this is sad) more veggies this week then i have in 10 years, which is good. But when will i feel the difference? I read all this rave on the internet about it and feeling more energetic and all. Its been 4 days and haven't really felt any different
Which goes to the next thing. With my Height / Weight MFP says i should consume 2489 calories a day.
THATS NUTS!!!
Ive counted my calorie intake and i cant even get to this number if i were to try! Even if i were to eat fast food that day theres no way i can get to 2400 calories without downing a full bag of doritos or something. What gives? This cant be rightl. Im 5 11 and 260 lbs with a bigger build

If you're not weighing your food, then you're eating way more calories than you think.
You lose weight by eating at a deficit. Log everything you eat accurately & honestly. Weigh your food.

Give the veggies some time. I think after 3 weeks or so, you'll get a sense of a different feeling. But you might also have to lose 30 or 40 pounds before you "feel" different.
As to the calories being too much for you to possibly eat, I call "shenanigans." Don't take this as a criticism, it's just reality, ok? Be proud of the changes you're making, but you OBVIOUSLY know how to eat more than 2400 calories per day, or else you wouldn't weigh 260 right now.
If you want to eat healthier, higher calorie foods, in order to reach your goal, I would recommend personally things like peanut butter, avocado, full fat dairy, nuts, and adding things like olive oil to things.0
