Bye Bye to Emotional Eating!

Hi all!

I'm Sarah and I'm 25 years old. I'm young, but have done a lot of damage this year to my body by surrendering completely to my propensity to eat comfort foods in times of stress.

I'm DONE. I've had a year of devastation and the only thing the food has done is temporarily distract me enough to let 30 pounds of bad habits pack onto my once hourglass frame.

Over the next few months, I'm going to teach myself new habits and new eating patterns that are good for my body and for my emotions! I'm excited and motivated to finally have the drive and self-worth to do great things for myself!

  • Hi Sarah! Nice to have you on the site :) I see you're from the Orlando area! I'm originally from Ocala but currently go to college in Tampa at USF. I, too, have struggled my entire life with emotional eating and have spent the past six years trying to keep it in check. It hasn't been easy, but I'll tell you right now that it can be done. For me personally, it's all about having a strong and reliable support system to keep me motivated. Please feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like, and we can possibly keep in touch and help keep eachother in check on our journeys along a path that leads away from emotional eating. Best of luck to you in the future. You can do this!
  • Hi Ladies! I struggle with emotional eating as well, which I am trying to avoid and teach myself new habits, but then when I give in and eat the crap that I know I shouldn't eat...I feel horrible afterwards =( But i'm working on it, and thats more than I ever did before, so I guess its a step in the right direction!! I'm also in the area, north of Tampa (Hernando County). Add me if you'd like and maybe we can help to support each other!

Hi and welcome! I'm 25 too and a total emotional eater. I've been slowly starting to get better, but it's tough to just kick the habit. This site is great for encouragement and information on ways to make healthy changes and form healthy habits.
