Wonderful to know that I am not alone in this fight!! It is work just planning to start this journey, balance and sacrifice I guess are key!

Kia Ora, and welcome!
You are not alone (not by a looong shot!) and MFP is a pretty groovy place to find help, answers to questions and inspiration to keep at it.
I hope you find it a useful tool. Though it is about balance and some sacrifice, try to continue thinking of it as a change in lifestyle and not 'something I HAVE to do until I am 'x' weight and then I can stop.
(And you may have already found it, but there is a recipe forum that could be useful if you and your husband like trying new things!)

Although I have only been at this a few weeks this board has been amazing for support ideas and keeping myself accountable for what I put in my mouth....that is the biggest thing I have learned....accountability! good luck to you0
