Confused about fat burning cardio...

Ok... so if my primary goal is to BURN FAT, is it better to do an Insanity type program or a body combat type program? (or any other suggestions welcome)

If it matters, I'm 37, 5'2, 150. I want to be about 135. My weight/fat is primarily in my stomach.

I do weights M/W/F and Cardio T/Th/Sa

    A combination of cardio and weight training will serve you well.

    Working in high intensity intensity training such as Insanity is effective too.....there are several ways to go about losing fat, the key is to eat at a deficit and there are several ways to get there.

    uh oh this could lead to a huge thread.........there is plenty of "you need to do this or you need to be in this zone..." and 3 hours later you've read all contradicting articles, plots, etc........and you've could've just spent that time in the gym doing the work!


    bottom line is eat right and put in the work.......i do a mix of intervals and steady cardio ontop of weight lifting. be consistent and no excuses!

    It is better to do whatever you will stick to doing. If you find repeat zen type moments out on a run then run. It may be your thing and you never knew it. If you like the challenge of some people trying to motivate you to do up downs on your TV then by all means do that. Do whatever but love what you do or you will eventually fall off the wagon. Fat reduction is just going to come down to diet though. Running or Insanity are just tools in the toolbox. Choose one, choose both, choose neither, they are just two types of many many tools for you to use.

    The "fat burn zone" is a big myth. Focus on working out hard with intensity, get yourself in a calorie deficit (either by exercise, diet, or a combination of both) and you'll get the results you're looking for.
