Cal Intake When Not Training that Day

Hi guys!

I want to use myfirnesspal to track my nutrition while I try to bulk with weight training. I have calculated from bodybuiling.com that I require around 3600 calories taking into account my level of activity.

This is great and I have set it as my target. My problem is that myfitnesspal take off calories when I input my activity via Endomundo and suggests I am short of calories. This as you can imagine now pushes my food intake to huge amounts.

I just wonder how other people manage this? Am I over complicating it a bit?

Yeah, you should pick one method or the other. Double counting exercise is a bad idea.

    Yes you are!

What bodybuilding.com has done is given you a target based on assumptions you have given it with regards to energy expenditure.

Much simpler calculate your requirements before exercise and then eat back what you actually burn doing the phys!

    You can either unlink Endomondo

or link it but only set MFP for an "active" level of base calories.

Thanks guys, I'll think I'll just go for a target each day based of an average of activity. I looked at the settings and the Enable Negative Adjustments was inactive. I would've thought that would have been the correct setting so the calories are not adjusted with exercise.
