I am really motivated to lose weight by the fact that I want to wear my wedding ring... I havent worn it in over a year... I dont understand why I cant fit it yet though b/c when I was 167 after I had my second child, my ring still fit... Im 165 and more in shape now but my ring is nowhere near fitting... its so annoying, I feel like Im never going to wear it again :(

Girlfriend... you, my dear, are retaining water. You consume a TON of sodium!! Try a natural cleansing: eat fruits and veggies for a couple of days, along with turkey or chicken (NO ham or bacon), and bread with less than 50 cals per slice.

You should see a HUGE drop.

Also, BE SURE to get ALL of your water in! Even if it's the last swallow before bed...

If you drink soda/pop/coke... STOP. It has a TON of sodium in it, too!

    HTH...

why don't you get your ring resized?? sometimes our hands & fingers swell for unknown reasons. I've had the same problem before with my fingers swelling and/or getting bigger & not fitting rings. just get them resized :)

Resizing is expensive and if you're in the process of losing more weight, won't do any good, because you will just have to have it resized back down...

You will get to wear your ring again!! Stay focused!! Be diligent and keep your eye on the prize!!!

Deshaine, is so right I retain water big time in fact. Example On Saturday about 3:00pm I purchased a new pair of shoes, I wore them around the store looking good in them. At 6:pm I had a high sodium Thia dish for dinner. Got home about 9:pm took my shoes out the box and couldn't get them on my feet my toes were numb, foot swollen. The next day I down a 2liter of Diet Rite Raspberry soda, The Diet Rite line is 0 calories 0 carbs 0 caffeine 0 sodium and sometimes 0 taste but it gets the salt out I drink 20oz of that then 20 oz of water. I spent the whole day peeing but by 7:pm the next day I was back looking good in my shoes. You are younger please watch that salt it leads to a great many problems including strokes. Your ring will fit. Keep drinking your water and watch that deadly word salt.

yes, do not get your ring resized to go bigger! get it resized as a REWARD when you are smaller! Resizing too many times actually weakens the metal so you need to be choosy when you do this.

I agree, I think you may be retaining water. It is shocking how much water our bodies can hold because of sodium. Drink WATER WATER WATER! And be very mindful of the sodium in the foods you eat, (although you do not need to obsess over it) and when you eat something that has a lot of sodium, down the water! It's very important. Not only will you drop pounds, ( I mean that, pounds!) you will get to wear your ring again! Hang in there, girl!

Definitely agree with deshaine!! Lower your sodium intake to no more than 2400mg and really work to get it below that and drink a TON of water. If I go over on sodium say, on Sunday, my ring will be super tight, then on Monday, by about 6 of 8 oz. cups of water, my ring is loose again! Trust me, you'll feel so much better, and you'll see a difference on the scale as well. Extra sodium means you're holding water and a lot of anything (water, fat, etc.) is heavy so it's going to show as a 1-2 lb or even more gain on the scale.

Thanx ladies ! I drink nothing but water all day every day CONSTANTLY ( with the exception of an OCCASIONAL soda) so thats not an issue but my sodium intake is definitely way over , my husband has asked me many time to get my ring resized but I refuse, Im not going to buy my clothes bigger to accommadate those extra pounds so I would certainly never get my ring resized.
