Weight Gain from Water

Has anyone experienced weight gain when they increased the amount of water they were drinking? For the past two weeks, I have been focusing on drinking at least 100 oz of water a day. It seems that I've also gained weight? What gives?

Has anything else changed?
Increase in exercise (esp weight lifting) can cause a temporary water retention while the muscles repair. It will go away w/i 2-3 weeks.
Calories are being tracked faithfully?
Time of the month?
Weighing at different times of the day?
Lots of things can cause a temporary increase in the number on the scale. If you are diligent about recording your intake and staying in a calorie deficit, you will see results on the scale eventually.0
