purchased my fitbit one after work on April 24, 2014. Since then I've averaged 13,087 steps a day. My high was this past Saturday with 26,215 my low was the next day (Sunday) with 8608 (sore from Saturday :) )

I could use the motivation ( ahem = competition even though it's not called that.)

All feel free to add me.

I make sure to get at least 10k per day. Some of that is running in place, some running errands, some walking on the treadmill or outside. Saturday we did a lot of 'yard sale walking' and ended the day over 20k for the first time in a while.

What I use to hold myself accountable: an app called Pact. (Its available on Androids & Iphones I think.) You commit to doing a certain # of healthy activities per week and pay if you don't meet your goal. It syncs w/ Fitbit, MapMyWalk, etc. For workouts, it counts to get 10k steps in a day. (There are other ways to get workout credit, but this is the main one I do.) So if I don't get my steps in, I get charged. When I make all my Pact commitments, I get a small portion of $ each week from those using the app who don't. Its not a ton, but I get $4-7 a week. And I haven't had to pay yet.

Hi : ) I recently got my fitbit flex, I'll add you here. I don't really use fitbit's community thing. And yeah, I usually get 10k steps everyday(on working days) I think the most I've gotten is around 24k

I have a flex, and when I have a day where I am under 10k steps, I turn on some music and dance! It works great and perks me up! Also a lot of the time I get into it and surpass the 10k steps!

Congratulations on getting back on track. I love my Fit Bit, but my personal goal is only at 3000 steps a day right now. (medical conditions that limit mobility) I think that is the great thing about setting out own goals---no matter what our numbers are we can still be supportive of each other.

I like my fibit flex. However, it's NOT accurate. I drove a big rig this weekend with very little walking between the time I left and the time I got home 10 hours later and the thing logged 4.35 miles LOL.

I'd like to be your FitBit friend! The link for me is https://www.fitbit.com/user/297MQH.

Anyone on this thread can add me if you'd like to. I average about 16,000 steps a day. But I get an hour for lunch at work, and I always go for a walk, and I have an elliptical exerciser at home, so it's not too hard for me to get a lot of steps.

Feel free to add me here on MFP or fitbit: //www.fitbit.com/user/23KP4J. I have a Force. I didn't return it. I like it (once I put a new Road ID clasp on it). I get between 10,000 & 15,000 steps a day. But, this weekend, I've been goofing off. I think MFP and Fitbit are both great tools for helping maintain a healthy lifestyle.
