I am a vegetarian, and believe it or not, I don't likr veggies!
I tried a V8 and I loved it!
Would it be a good idea to drink it as a snack?
Here's my diet, please tell me if I should change something.
Green Tea in the morning
(2 hours later) Egg whites, or oatmeal
(2 hours later) Special K protien bar
*work out. Intense cardio or weight training*
(After workout) 100% Whey protien with banana, 2/3 frozen
strawberries and mangos, 2/3 silk milk and water, and a
activia low fat yougurt. All in a shake
(3 hours later) V8 vegtable juice
(2 hours later) Salad, or anything wheat (brown rice, wheat pasta, sandwhich)
Does that soung good?

I'd just worry about the sodium. Other than that, I love me some V8.
I suggest making some home made with a juicer, so you can choose what you do want in your juice.0 -

If you like V8 go for it! If you want to experiment, look at juice options and make your own veggie juice (light on fruit tho, high sugar and calorie)0 -
As Sinisterly pointed out, V8 is high in sodium but they do have a low sodium option.
I love V8 juice (strange because I hate tomatoes) and I've used it as a snack for a long time. I usually pair it with something high in protein, though, so the hunger pangs stay away.

Doesn't look too bad. How many calories total are we talking here?
You had me  @ a vegetarian who hates veggies0 -
I will say this for V8: I read the ingredient label, and then proceeded to stick all 8 of the V8 veggies into my juicer. My homemade, fresh, organic 8 vegetable juice tasted a lot like V8! For being pasteurized, and loaded with sodium, they still manage to get it to taste like the fresh juice.
I used to like V8, when i was on the run, but the sodium is really high, even though a lot of it comes from the celery. I am not too fond of what Campbell's (the company that makes it) does with their money, in regards to lobbying against proper food labeling. If they spend their money trying to make sure that consumers are not properly informed, than they get no more of mine.
As for your meal plan, Where's the fruit? Just a little in your smoothie. :frown:0
