SURPRISE!..........Best exercise in a long time

Yesterday, after a long work week for my husband and I, we were exhausted. We wanted a break from our routine of working out and take a break from 3 boys at home, ages 13,12, and 9, to enjoy the gorgeous weather. We looked in the garage grabbed our son's BMX bikes and took a ride.
It felt so AWESOME! Feeling the wind and enjoying each other, we felt like kids again. Gliding down hills, exploring our town from a different aspect was an absolute plus.
At the same time we were on those small BMX bikes so we nearly had to stand pumping the bikes the whole time because our long legs (compared to the bikes) gave us a workout sitting down. As enjoyable as it was going down those hills it was hell pumping to the top.
After the ride, it was actually good motivation to come back home and do the workout we dreaded in the beginning. We also had a better attitude to deal with the boys when we came back from our ride. It was fun to switch up the routine and give us a different outlook of attacking the rest of or day. We decided to do this more often.
What stands out as being your best exercise?
