Newbie joiner

Hi folks, newbie to myfitnesspal after downloading it last year and never using it.... Not new to dieting sadly, was at my heaviest last year and it's slow going without a formal tracking format and I blame it on middle age that it never stays off. I'll be using the community and groups too as a support so am looking forward to the contact with like minded and motivated folk to keep me on my path to health and fitness and initial step of 50lb goal.
