41 and sitting plateau for 6 or 7 weeks very frustrated

I am 5' 4" @ 160 I was doing great.... lost 27 lbs keeping 1200 cal diet and exercising 5 days a week. Now I cant budge the scale I even upped my cals to 5500 thinking I am in starvation mode. for about three weeks still not movement only few pounds up on scale. I am so frustrated thinking my hypothyroid is now to blame. Need some advise Please!

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) and take Synthroid & Cytomel. I lost way more slowly than most MFPers, so be patient. But I did it just like everybody else—by eating at a deficit.

I'm guessing a typo and she meant 1500.0

If you meant 1500, with excersize it may still be too low. I have been finding I loose more if I eat back my exercise calories.0

I'm *almost* 5'4" and 1500 is just about my BMR (too few calories for me). If I were you, I'd eat 1700-1900 calories a day and see if that helps.0
