what does it mean to eat your exercise calories? Why would you want to do that if you are trying to loose weight?

Because MFP has already created a deficit. If you workout, you create and even bigger one, and this can sometimes be detrimental to your health in the long run. Also it means you get to eat more, which is generally seen as a plus.0

To fuel your body properly.
MFP is designed so that you will lose weight without exercising. So the base formula looks something like this:
BMR + Daily Activity (without exercise) = Estimated Daily Burn Before Exercise
Estimated Daily Burn Before Exercise - Deficit to lose weight = Calorie goal to lose weight without exercise
When you add exercise your Daily Burn increases. To maintain the same deficit that you picked when setting your profile up, MFP adds calories to your goal. So then its:
BMR + Daily Activity (before exercise) + Exercise = Estimated Total Daily Burn
Estimated Total Daily Burn - deficit = Total Calorie goal for the day to lose weight with exercise0 -
Myfitnesspal has set your calorie goal at a deficit anyway, so in theory if you dont exercise you will still lose weight.
This means that when you exercise, you are in a bigger deficit and you can eat back the calories you have burned.
My daily calories to maintain is 2010 calories.
MFP has set my calories to lose 1.5lb a week at 1310.
This means I am at a deficit of 700 calories and I will lose 1.5lb a week average.
If I burn 400 calories walking, this takes my calorie intake to 910 and this is not enough for me to function.
So I can eat up to 400 calories extra and still lose weight.
This means that you can eat what you want, but you have to work for it.0 -
because if you don't eat food, or you burn all your calories you do eat, then you will slowly die.0

Not being hungry is something that happens at the beginning, particularly if you have changed your diet significantly. Nut butters, olive oil, nuts and seeds can all increase your calories without making you feel too full and are good to have in a diet.
However the issue sometimes when changing your eating habits is that it becomes unsustainable (not for everyone) so it can help to include some of the foods you ate before deciding to lose weight, in moderation though0
