Help For An Asthmatic and Type 1 Diabetic!!!

I was born essentially without lungs because I was so premature. I was making my mother sick when I was still in her tummy and I had to be brought out in an emergency C-section or we would both die. I lived in a bubble for the first 6 months of my life as my weak lungs developed a little. I've had asthma all my life because of it.

My fiance is a type 1 diabetic whose medications made him blow up really big as a child. His hormones have balanced out now but he's still had trouble losing weight.

Any advice for my exercise and his diet?

    Hi!
I am also a type 1 diabetic. Please tell your husband that, as the pounds start coming off, he may begin to experience a lot more lows. Even a loss of seven pounds required me to adjust both my basal and bolus doses.

I found that MFP is amazing for tracking what I am eating, the total carbs per meal, and whether I am spiking up after that meal. It makes it a lot easier for me to both watch my calories and the carb/fat content of food and makes it easier to predict how much insulin I will need based on that food's content.

Thank you very much! He's just trying to get started at the moment so we're going to work on it. Tracking carbs is definitely a plus to MFP. Thanks!
