soooo tired

Hi
Just wanted to know. Am I the only one who is so incredibly tired after a good weight training session? I can do very intense cardio, interval training, HIIT with weights and I am pretty ok. But the days after I lift heavy weights when my body is sore I feel drained. I can't seem to keep up with my daily activities and my 3 small children without just wanting to sleep and lay down.....
Anybody else feel that?

First check your protein, next check your sleep, then check your resting heart rate.
If you aren't getting enough protein, your muscles don't have what they need to respond to the stimulus you just put them through.
If you aren't getting at least 8 hours of sleep, your muscles won't fully repair. Sleep is when your body and mind fix themselves. Muscle repair and learning all occur during deep sleep.
If your resting heart rate is elevated, you may be overtraining. It is rare for a regular person to overtrain, but it can happen. If you are, add more rest between sessions and consider lowering the sets/reps.0 -
I'm always knackered after weights. It's hard work and takes it out of me.0

Heck yes I do, regardless of what I eat to fuel it. That makes me feel like I did it right :P0
