MFP Added calories after losing 10lbs?

Hello all! Alright so this is my first time seriously using MFP. I've done WW before and was quite successful. Lost 60 lbs, but as many on here, felt it didn't train me correctly. I would lose about 4 lbs a week, stopped, and in a year put 40 back on. So here's my question. Every time I hit a significant point in weight-loss in WW, my points would drop. Now, on here, I just lost my first 10lbs (losing right at or just below the 2lbs per week) and my calories daily goal went up by 200 calories. Why is that?? Any help would be much appreciated!

did you change your weekly weight loss goal or activity level????0

No, not at all. It just asked me if I wanted to update my daily goals, I clicked yes, assuming it was going to just drop my calories. Do you think it would have automatically updated my exercise goals, adding more calories? I should probably check that...0

Because you have less to lose/ It isnt about losing weight quickly but steadily.0

That is odd...normally when you lose weight and you leave everything the same it does lower your calories...it took my inital one from 1380 to 1360 a day (not a big drop)
MFP isn't set to automatically change your weekly weight loss goals for you based on how much you have to lose...I would check my activity levels and weekly weight loss goals and see if they are the same...
If it's not a big jump I am not sure I would worry too much about it but if it's over 100 (which means 700 extra a week) I would send in a question to the technical department.
Or maybe someone else can explain it here.0 -

Just checked and it does look like my activity goals were automatically updated. Maybe because I've been recording my cardio? I think I will shoot an email over to tech support to see if that's what happened. Thanks for the idea!0
