Help with a HRM question

Okay so I worked out for nearly 25 minutes and after I shut the timer off, and switched to the calories burned, my HRM shows a large number of 331 calories burned but the kcal's say 41. I put the screen up as my profile picture so you can see what I am talking about.
the research I did tells me that the kcals are what we actually use?
Did I only 41 calories? I was at a 118 to 125 heart rate. I want to be accurate with my calorie counting but, I am actually more concerned with where my heart rate is, (in the 118 to 125 range for me), because I have a lot of fat to burn through. lol
Anyway, any input would be appreciated.

I could still use help on the whole big number verses small kcal number, but if it helps, I figured out my Vo2Max wasn't set correctly, so maybe that would change the kcal number?0

What brand of HRM do u have?0

Are you sure that's not 331.41 kcals? My HRM shows decimals in the calorie burn.
That being said, 331 cals seems like a big number for a 25 minute workout..... What type of HRM do you have? Does it have a chest strap?0 -
Its a Pyle Sports because I cannot afford a Polar watch at this moment. Its on my wish list. Are you sure that's not 331.41 kcals? My HRM shows decimals in the calorie burn.

Yes it has a chest strap as well. I never thought about it being 331.41! That seems a lot simpler than two separate numbers. lol 0 -
what does the users manual say?0

Okay, I swear the little 4 page booklet just said how to set it up and how to find the calories burned. I Found a PDF file online that supports what Amy told me. It says the range is 1 to 1999.9. So I think that clears things up for me. Thanks everyone!what does the users manual say?0
