Just wondering if anyone else out there has the issue of emotional eating keeping you from your weightless goals? I always work really hard to lose weight, get to about 20 lbs down, then something stressful happens in my life and i go 2-3 weeks of eating without caring. Well, i care because i beat myself up about it constantly while it's going on, but it's like i don't care. The circle continues (eat, gain, feel fat, get depressed about feeling fat, eat due to depression, gain, feel ashamed, get depressed, eat, gain, etc.... ) .... anyone been through this and have any tips on how to stop this behavior? you would think that knowing that it's a problem and being aware of the cycle would do it, but it's not working... thanks for any advice or sharing ..

I stress clean. My overeating almost always comes from boredom.
My sympathies for stress eating.0 -
I also stress clean. You can tell how stressed I am by the stare of my room, and I have anxiety. So my room is usually clean.
I eat when I get bored, tired, or lazy. Unless I KNOW that I'm hungry, I just try to stay out of the kitchen.0 -
No problems with emotional eating. High stress smoking, yes, but working on that issue.
I actually find that eating something healthy, like a nice kale/avocado salad actually makes me feel better.0
